The GigRig Quartermaster QMX 6

Simple loop switching for your pedals

High-quality true bypass strip loop control for your effects pedals. Compact easy switching solution to keep your tone intact.

TheGigRig QMX has all the same great features as the standard QuarterMaster including;

1. Uses TheGigRig 'True Bypass' relay technology keeping your tone perfectly intact and your switching quiet.
2. Tough aluminium enclosure and small footprint will keep your pedalboard light and compact
3. Uses the new GigRig 'OptoKick' Optical Foot switch which we believe is the most reliable foot switch in the world.

PLUS, the QMX has a very clever ace up its sleeve.

Each loop has a push button next to the loop return that gives you the option to turn a standard loop into a flip/flop loop.
Instantly switch between any selected loops while adding other loops on top. Its great if there are effects on your board that you never stack like multiple delays, or drive units.
By using the QMX returns as instrument inputs you can easily and quietly switch between your favourite guitars

For your simple compact board, TheGigRig QuarterMaster QMX just makes life that little bit easier.

    Quartermaster QMX-6

Posted by Patrick on 26th Jul 2018

I have two Rockett pedals that like to be first in my chain (Blue Note, Dude) and needed 4 other pedals out of it when not in use. Tried a Visual Sound buffer but it changed the sound. Ordered a One Control Iguana, didn't look at the GigRig because somehow I had the idea it was expensive. Turns out it was not. From the first second: quality feel, easy operation and above all beautiful sound. I am VERY, VERY happy with this. (Also service and shipping were friendly and fast!)

    QMX6 for flexible jam board

Posted by Andreas on 4th Jul 2018

Great addition to my high quality jam board with c. 8-10 effects (TC, Xotic, Wampler, etc.) and all connected with Sommer patch cables. The QMX6 has made a clear difference in sound by routing in directly to the required effects rather than going through the entire set-up even with using a buffer in front. Great functionality for those who do not want to have a fully programmed board and want to retain flexibility and spontanous reactions in sound.

The sound of the device is very good (only a slight change to the soound in my view) an through reducing effective cable length achieves clearer highs as well as a slightly stronger signal for my gigs

    Simply Great!

The best switcher/ looper I found on the market. Perfect in function and build quality. Together with the brackets it fits perfectly on my pedaltrain.
Service and shipping was excellent. Thank you very much!
One question is still on my mind: if this is that good, how good must be the G2 on my board?

    QuarterMaster QMX - 6

You MUST test the difference between QMX and not QMX.
It can't be explain. You have to feel it.
It's like you are connected directly to your amp ... and then you can experiment with your pedals without losing your tone. So you can really decide what pedals to use and where in the chain without be worried about the interferences and noises.

Excellent product with nice feeling switches, I am powering it with a MXR ISO brick with no problems. It fits nicely on the first rung of my Pedaltrain - 2

Great service from the team at Gigrig. This is such an excellent bit of kit. It's totally changed the way I use my pedalboard for the better. Thank you!

I'm downsized my board to six pedals so I did wonder if the Quartermaster might be slightly over-the-top, but it's the perfect solution for quick sound changes mid-song. The pedals sound better too, although on my small board that's less of an issue. Just the convenience of having the switches in a line at the same height makes me smile, and the flip-flop function is great when I switch between my two drives. I used a Pedaltrain Metro 20, which is a tight squeeze for the pedals but the Quartermaster fits perfectly on the bottom rail. One thing to bear in mind though is the amount of patch cables you'll need - I've made do with the right-angled MXR patch cables but have two pedals wired with the Evidence Audio system until I can afford more. I think the new Boss solderless kit might be an option, but it's still £125 for a 24-plug kit!
