The GigRig Modular Power Base Pack 1: 1 x Generator ( UK Power Lead) + 1 x Distributor ( 6 X DC leads Included)

Want to Kick off your modular power supply kit or set up a small board? The Base Pack 1 is a great place to start!

It provides the heart of our modular power supply solution, The GigRig Generator with a Distributor to spread the power across your board and at a discount for buying both together!

Need to power lots of effects? Different voltages? Different countries? No problem! Using a combination of TheGigRig Generator, Distributors and Adapters, the system can be configured to power nearly every pedal and every voltage out there.

So what separates The GigRig GENERATOR from every other 9V supply?
The GENERATOR delivers:

  • An unbelievable 5 Amps (that's 5000 milliamps!) of power which makes it the most powerful specialist guitar FX supply on the market.
  • Incredibly clean 9V DC regulated studio quality power supply.
  • Short circuit protection protects your precious pedals.
  • Self-healing fuse. That's right, it heals itself!
  • Will work anywhere in the world between 110-250V. No more step-up or step-down transformers.
  • Small, light and discrete. Will fit on any pedal board.

The GigRig Distributor has 6 non-isolated outputs that can deliver HUGE amounts of current when needed.

The Generator first plugs into the Distributor and from there you can add Isolators, High Current Adapters, Virtual Batteries, what ever you need to make your board work.

UK mains lead included.

    Effective and fairly straightforward

Just got a base kit 1, installed it and now decided it’s worth adding a second isolator. Hooking everything up was easy except for a problem with some isolator connections - if you don’t get the bare wire ends *right* in as far as they should go (clearing the top of the metal tines inside the terminal block) it will feel like you successfully clamped the wire in when you press the terminal down but you’ll not have an electrical contact.

    Base pack 1

Comes with a generator and distributor which is non isolated so you need extra isolators or power packs for pedals, has massive potential being modular so you can get bits as your gear grows so although the initial costs are higher than a PP2 you have more power and scope for more pedals so no more ground noises or cable doublers etc, seems totally silent on my board and my pedals all seem to have way more headroom than before, great product can definitely recommend.

    Power Base Pack 1

I initially thought this was going to be a bit fiddly but with a pair of scissors and a sharp knife it was doodle to get all my pedals hooked up.

All seems to be working fine and with the current on tap it should last a lot longer than my iso brick.

Probably should have just bought this when I installed the Quartermaster loop switcher.

Quality as expected from Dan and the team.

    Excellent value for money

Compact, functional pack which unleash the whole potential of a powerful power supply in a very small space. It's also modular, which means that if your pedalboard is big or will grow over time you simply add a small module instead of buying a second generator

Power Base Pack 1, Isolators, HCAs

Posted by Victor Kvarnhall on 7th Aug 2018

I purchased a Power Base Pack 1, a couple of Isolators, a couple of TimeLords, and a custom made Supa-Nova for my SurfyBear reverb tank.

All of it works great, and is easy to use. The service was also very good. I got a lot of help before buying, the shipping was fast, and a minor mishap was solved quickly.

One thing, though. It would've been great if there was an Isolator that could supply somewhat more mA. Sure, for most pedals 135 mA is enough, but there a few that require something in the range of 150-200 mA. In those cases, the best solution is certainly buying a TimeLord, but that isn't always an option, due to space and cost. Currently I have two pedals on my board (Meris PolyMoon and EHX Oceans 11) that require somewhat more mA than 135. There was no easy fix to solve this, but with an Isolator supplying, say, 200 mA, there would have been.

    Anyway, great products, thanks.

One box to power them all

Posted by Ben on 26th Mar 2018

I'm only a "bedroom"/hobby player. After changing my rig from a Marshall half stack to an Atomic Amplifire I was looking for one power supply capable of feeding my whole board (Amplifire, H9, and eight stomp boxes so far). I had my "ideal rig" checked through their power path diagram service to make sure it wasn't over the unit's limit, came back all good. I sold my original, 1st generation Voodoo Lab Pedal Power and ordered the BP1, two isolators, and a high current adaptor to start with. Setup was easy, but took a while as I cable tied everything for the first time ever! My rig now runs off two plugs (one for the generator and one for my Laney FRFR speaker) with room to run two more cables off the distributor to other distributors/isolators/high current adaptors when I buy more pedals. Highly recommended for any type of rig!

    Power Base Pack & Isolators

Posted by Alan Gourlay on 15th Feb 2018

Purchased Generator, Distributor & Isolators to stop hum/ground loops. Really easy to set-up and pedalboard is now completely silent (wish I had done this years ago). Customer support also provided an alternative solution to powering a hig current pedal which saved me money.

    Highly recomended
