Want to Kick off your modular power supply kit or set up a small board?
The Base Pack 1 is a great place to start!
It provides the heart of our modular power supply solution, The GigRig Generator with a Distributor to spread the power across your board and at a discount for buying both together!
Need to power lots of effects? Different voltages? Different countries?
No problem! Using a combination of TheGigRig Generator, Distributors and Adapters, the system can be configured to power nearly every pedal and every voltage out there.
So what separates The GigRig GENERATOR from every other 9V supply?
The GENERATOR delivers:
- An unbelievable 5 Amps (that's 5000 milliamps!) of power which makes it the most powerful specialist guitar FX supply on the market.
- Incredibly clean 9V DC regulated studio quality power supply.
- Short circuit protection protects your precious pedals.
- Self-healing fuse. That's right, it heals itself!
- Will work anywhere in the world between 110-250V. No more step-up or step-down transformers.
- Small, light and discrete. Will fit on any pedal board.
The GigRig Distributor has 6 non-isolated outputs that can deliver HUGE amounts of current when needed.
The GigRig Generator Power supply powers the Distributor and from there you can add Isolators, High Current Adapters, Virtual Batteries to provide the correct power to your Switching and Effects.
The Power Base Pack 1 bundle includes a Generator and a Distributor + FREE pack of extra DC leads
12 x 1 metre DC leads included ( 6 included with Distributor + 6 Free Replacement DC Leads)
Please select the required 2m Mains Power IEC Lead for your region. UK mains lead will be supplied as default if no other option selected. Additional leads available for purchase separately.

Its sometimes hard to differentiate products when they are in a generic plastic box. You can tell from the instructions alone that thought has gone into this product, but you probably knew that already from its reputation. Shop staff were very helpful ordering. Recommended.
Very sturdy build. Worked first time. Point to note if you want to power more than 6 pedals you need an isolator. Previously was daisy chaining and this is just infinitely tidier on my board, very happy.
This is the third board I've built this year, and the third GigRig PSU I've used. Once you've tried it, everything else is either too big, cumbersome, heavy or noisy. Totally customisable too, and with plenty of spare power adaptors supplied, I can use this again and again on different builds. Far out, as Dan would say :-)
As guitarist we tend to change our pedals on our boards with eager frequency, have to try this, have to try that..we all do it.. So using the gigrig power system of distributors and connectors allows for easy change either to decrease or increase my pedals, unfortunately its mostly the latter.. The gigrig power system is just so easy to use and more importantly totally bomb proof and reliable which for gigging gives me total confidence when playing.
Don’t known why I waited so long to upgrade to this and other modular power supply parts. No more need for multiple plugs running different pedals and cheap cables breaking every few months. After installing this power supply along with isolators a distributor among other items my board is sounding better, less to no hum and no signal loss. Very happy with this upgrade!
I've used a Diago Power Station for years now, and whilst this powered everything I needed very quietly, it was still a daisychain, and was probably sucking tone somewhere. I've just wired up my new board using the Generator, Distributor, 3 isolators and a Timelord - through headphones my clean guitar tone sounds loads better! I need to try this through loud amps in a room when we're allowed to rehearse again (Lockdown 3.0 in UK, at time of writing!)
After adding a Humdinger and an Isolator to my rig some time ago, I bit the bullet and ordered the base pack 1 and a second isolator to run wet/dry/wet with stereo wet. Now completely silent with all three amps running. More punch, clarity and note definition with all the pedals. Thoroughly recommended.
After watching The Pedal Show Video about VICP (Voltage, Isolation, Current & Polarity), I became intrigued regarding isolating my pedals, and powering them with clean, regulated power. Before buying this I was powering my pedals inside a Boss BCB-60, which sounded fine to me, but was very limited in room to expand. Opposed to the The Gigrig setup, the BCB-60 powers all the pedals from a 1A power supply, providing 7x 9v on a daisy chain. I purchased the Power Base Pack 1 along with a couple of isolators. I wasn't prepared for how much better sounding my pedals seem. The clarity in the signal can't be overstated. I know it's expensive, but most of our pedals are expensive. Why spend all this money going down the individual pedal route, opposed to multi fx, then cheap out when it comes to powering them? If you want your pedals to sound their best, go to YouTube, watch The Pedal Show V.I.C.P episode, then come back and purchase this along with however many isolators you need. The power brick is really solid, and the power supply cable is a decent length. The distributor feels a bit flimsy, like a cheap toy. For how much these things cost a specific tool for pressing in the clips, and levering them out would've been good, but the end result is brilliant nonetheless.
