Want to kick off your modular power supply kit or set up a larger board?
The Power Base Pack 2 is a great place to start if you are powering a large pedalboard. It provides the heart of our modular power supply solution, The GigRig Generator with two Distributors to spread the power across your board. All that and a discount for buying them together!
Need to power lots of effects? Different voltages? Different countries? No problem!
Using a combination of TheGigRig Generator, Distributors and Adapters, the system can be configured to power nearly every pedal and every voltage out there.
So what separates TheGigRig GENERATOR from every other 9V supply?
The GENERATOR delivers:
- An unbelievable 5 Amps (that's 5000 milliamps!) of power which makes it the most powerful specialist guitar FX supply on the market.
- Incredibly clean 9V DC regulated studio quality power supply.
- Short circuit protection protects your precious pedals.
- Self-healing fuse. That's right, it heals itself!
- Will work anywhere in the world between 110-250V. No more step-up or step-down transformers.
- Small, light and discrete. Will fit on any pedal board.
TheGigRig Distributor has 6 non-isolated outputs that can deliver HUGE amounts of current when needed. The GigRig Generator Power supply powers the Distributor and from there; you can power your second Distributor, add Isolators, High Current Adapters,Virtual Batteries to provide the correct power to your Switching and Effects.
The Power Base Pack 2 bundle includes a Generator and 2 x Distributors + FREE pack of extra DC leads
18 x 1 metre DC leads included (12 included with Distributors + 6 Free Replacement Leads)
This combination gives you 11 high current outlets.
Please select the required 2m Mains Power IEC Lead for your region. UK mains lead will be supplied as default if no other option selected. Additional leads available for purchase separately.

Not knowing which power source to go for I opted for what I thought would be the smallest. After watching the video on how to attach the generator, I realised the rest would be easy. The wires from the distributors are genius. So easy to set up and they can fit into small spaces. I’ve used spare Velcro to attach everything underneath my board. A quality product. This has all you need to set up your first pedalboard (10 pedals for me)!
Almost Perfect, except the power cable, But its my fault I forget to select the right power cable option. As an Advise it will bet a good idea to check the country of order, and ask for a confirmation if this is not U-U.K.
Great power supply, fast service and packaged well. Thumbs up.
I absolutely love the stuff from Gigrig !! I started out with the Humdinger buffer, than purchased the QuarterMaster Xmx- 8 and now the Power base Pack 2. Both the quality and the ease of use is great ! In my opinion it doesn't get any better than this !!!
I got this with 2 distributors to upgrade my rig, initially it took some figuring but that’s because I haven’t wired anything like this before. Once I got my head into it it’s a sturdy and reliable piece of kit. I really like that I can add more from the same generator later if I need to.
Brilliant. I've used this, isolators and high current adaptors on my pedal board. Very neat and tidy but, most importantly, reliable.
I've purchased this with 3 isolators for powering a load of pedals and it works very good. It delivers more than enough power and comes with powercables that are quite long so you have enough to work with. The Distributors have a nice blue led to let you know it works.
I have been an avid user of the GigRig power system for years and in my opinion, there is nothing better on the market. I have probably powered a good dozen pedalboards ranging from tiny to huge with this system and it has never let me down. In this specific project, I have powered an entire rack with almost 40 pedals with just one generator (it took 9 isolators, 5 distributors and a total of 6 different adapters for high current or 18V, reverse polarity etc). it worked flawlessly on the first try - as I know it would! The GigRig power system is the absolut best, most space saving and cleanest way to power a pedalboard. Sometimes, I think it could stand to be a bit cheaper, or I'd love to have six outlets in an isolator (like a distributor) rather than four. But these are details. Overall, this system just rules and I am singing its praises whenever and wherever I can.
