A new standard for effects pedal lovers seeking the ultimate control and tonal transparency.

G3 Atom and G3 mark a new standard in pedalboard effects control. Built on the legacy of our award winning G2, G3 Atom delivers the ultimate in signal path purity with possibilities never before seen in a pedalboard switcher.

Hear your effects as they were designed to sound, unencumbered by compromises inherent in a standard pedalboard setup.

We designed the G3 Atom alongside G3 from the ground up, obsessively testing and retesting every aspect of its design to ensure we delivered the most robust, fully featured, tonally transparent switching system in the world.

G3 Atom is an expression of our passion. We compromised on nothing.

As a Special Offer for the Holiday Season we're also including a FREE Midi Cinco Patch bay

    In love with Atom

Posted by Julian Shelbourne on 16th Dec 2021

I've had the Atom for about a week and now and am absolutely loving it. Just how quiet it has made the pedals is the first thing. The Generator power supply, Distributor and Isolators definitely eliminate any hum noise. But I have a Tremolo unit that has always been noisy. Putting it after the Atom it was still noisy; but putting it in a loop, and and all that noise was eliminated. So, those gold relays and-all are definitely making a difference! Secondly, with the noise floor dropped almost to zero, the Atom makes each pedal sound full and solid. Less loss of signal from cable capacitance means that my Klon, for example, which I used to run with the Treble well elevated, I can now run with less Treble. Third, the Parallel feature is a joy. It means I can run my time-based effects (flange, phase, echo, reverb) as kill-dry, and when I turn that loop off there isn't a massive surge in volume as the dry signal comes back in - because the dry signal was already there in parallel. And with kill-dry on my effects, the dry signal of my amp is so focused and clear thst I can really hear what I'm playing and am inspired with each note's harmonics to find the next note. In other words, my amp is really alive again, as though I'm not using effects, except I am! I haven't been so inspired since I bought the TC Electronic G System 15 years ago - except this is better because I'm getting the sonic bloom and real-time control of analog effects. The one area that I was a bit worried about was only the 6 loops but you can use a stereo TRS/TS/TS cable in the Tuner/Aux - so that's 7 loops. And with the Atom you can run the same sort of TRS cable for stereo, whereas it seems with the big G3 you can only run stereo with mono pairs for a total of 6 stereo effects anyway. I could be wrong about that but anyway, the Atom has enough loops for me. Really like the Sticky Stomp mode - basically that's how I've set it up. I don't have any midi controlled effects anymore but it's good to know I can go there. Just really happy with the Atom. It has ended years of frustration in my transition from thr G System to a pedal based rig. It truly allows you to be inspired by your rig again. All in all, even though I'm running my amp on 10 (Vox AC15, no master, running at half-power mode running wet/dry/wet to a stereo power amp) it somehow doesn't seem "too loud" any more because all the horrible buzzing is gone. I haven't bothered to connect my noise gates cos I don't need them. The Atom is worth the money. The other night I was thinking of changing the pedal sequence and realized: I dont have to unplug and replug anything, just re-sequence the loops. Life is easier, and it sounds better!
